The council will discuss water rate increases at the January 11, 2024 meeting at 6:30 pm.  The rate increase will be voted on at the February 8, 2024 meeting. The February meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.  You are invited to attend.  The increase will take effect on the water bill due on March 10, 2024.  
Operating costs have increased due to the price of supplies and materials.  Th Council is committed to managing those costs and staying efficient while upholding the City's commitment to a sustainable future.  
This rate increase by ordinance, will reflect 5% for 2024, an additional 5% for 2025, and an additional 5% for 2026.

All water bills are mailed on or around 20th of the month.  They are then due by the 10th of the month following billing.  Any account not paid by the 15th are then subject to shut off. All billing questions should be directed to city hall 217-742-7054  Leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
